We are pointing to our mission area on the world map!  Austin, Texas!

These are all the missionaries (MLS?) that came to the MTC at the same time we did, Feb. 7, 2022.

This is our district.  We are all MLS missionaries, going to Texas, Washington, Canada and Buenos Aires.

Around town, meeting members and friends

 We've been a bit busier this last week.  We had appointments almost every night.  One of the assignments the sister missionaries had was to teach English classes.  It takes so much time to prepare, and they were very excited to hand over that assignment to us!  We were given 3 laptops from the stake to start Family History Connect.  We are going to start both of these this week! We will also be doing Family History Connect (just one on one helping others with their family history) in the Lockhart building once a week, starting next week.  We may be starting English classes here in Lockhart, too.  We are pretty excited to get this going! We have been taking daily walks around town, trying to go in different directions, unless we need to go shopping, so we have found some fun places.  Many more to find!  Lockhart is full of old LARGE houses, probably old plantation houses, and some are kept up super nice.  I love them!  We found...

Happy Independence Day!

  Every week we have more and more appointments!  We had a few appointments fall through this week, but we still had more appointments than ever.  We have new people to see in Cedar Creek and Del Valle and we now have a temple appointment for the Orellanos (Yay!!)  Last Saturday I taught a small church group the basics of crochet.  There were a couple of washcloths made as well as several hair scrunchies.  I was a little overwhelmed trying to teach it in Spanish, but Elder Bell helped me by making a Powerpoint presentation in Spanish.  Helped a lot.  Also helped that most of the group understood English. One of our regular appointments asked me (begged, really) to please cut her hair!  So Sherry got a haircut this week!  We love Sherry! The last puzzle we put together, Texas Bluebonnets, took us about 6 weeks! We just finished this quilt puzzle, and it only took us 3 weeks. 😃  Just a bit easier.  Really fun.  We plan on m...

Temple day!

On Saturday June 4th we were blessed to accompany 3 of our branch members to the San Antonio temple for the first time! The couple, Jenny and Heriberto, were sealed, and both Jenny and David were sealed to their parents.  Everyone in the branch that was able came! It was a long, beautiful, incredible day!   This is our district right before transfer day.  Sister Peterson and Elder Sivulish finished their missions and went home, and Sister Neilson was transferred and the next week Elder Lord went home.  In two weeks we changed 50% of our district!   We continue to see beautiful flowers as well as strange lawn decorations!   We take a walk each morning and since early on we have kept track of where we have walked on a map.  Today we finished the very last corner!  (We are only counting streets that were in the boundaries of the city at the time of the map.)   We continue to teach English twice a week in Lockhart and once a week in Gon...
