Another temple day! Last day...

 On Friday August 5th we were honored to accompany Tony and Julia Orellana to the San Antonio Temple.  What a special day that was!  They were sealed together, then had a daughter sealed to them, then Julia was sealed to her parents!  Julia's brother, sister in law, her nephew and niece in law were there, too. It was a very special day! After, the whole group went to a restaurant and had gorditas!  Yum! The Orellanas with family and friends at the San Antonio Temple, Aug. 5, 2022. Tomas Gomez Orellanas, Bertha Flores and her 2 nieces The Lockhart Head Librarian, Bertha Martinez. She has been a great support. Last week. It went too fast!

Exactly one week from today we will be leaving our apartment and the Sudweeks will be moving in, and just like that our time here in Lockhart, will be over.  We have LOVED working with the Gonazales and Lockhart branches! We have loved the beauty of Texas, especially in the spring with all the wildflowers, but what we will miss is the people we have come to know and love. We have loved our experiences helping others come back into church activity, helping new members get to the temple, and helping the young missionaries teach new investigators.  It has been a joy! This last week we did some of our last visits to people.  This coming week will be the rest of our last visits.  It's very sad.  We are excited to spend time with family again, BUT we are sad to leave these dear people we love so much!  Elder Bell stated recently, "If you don't want to hurt, then don't care."  We  really  care, so it hurts! HOT!  The heat wave has been going on...

3 more weeks

  We are excited about seeing family soon, especially our grandchildren,  but we are sad to have so little time left here! The time has gone by so quickly, way too quick! The above photo is our last district photo before transfers. Of our 8 young missionaries, one went home (mission complete!) and 3 transferred. I hate when the young missionaries leave! The past couple of weeks have been the most busy we've been with appointments, having 15 appointments one week and close to that the next! We have a temple trip to take with the Orellanas on August 5, and Alfredo is getting baptized on August 6th. What a great way to finish up! Elder and Sister Sudweeks are going to move into our apartment. They've  been  in temporary housing thus far.  I've been training them on FamilySearch and Ancestry.  ...
