Temple day!
On Saturday June 4th we were blessed to accompany 3 of our branch members to the San Antonio temple for the first time! The couple, Jenny and Heriberto, were sealed, and both Jenny and David were sealed to their parents. Everyone in the branch that was able came! It was a long, beautiful, incredible day!
This is our district right before transfer day. Sister Peterson and Elder Sivulish finished their missions and went home, and Sister Neilson was transferred and the next week Elder Lord went home. In two weeks we changed 50% of our district!
We continue to see beautiful flowers as well as strange lawn decorations!
We take a walk each morning and since early on we have kept track of where we have walked on a map. Today we finished the very last corner! (We are only counting streets that were in the boundaries of the city at the time of the map.)
We continue to teach English twice a week in Lockhart and once a week in Gonzales. On those same days I am available to help with family history. We have several regulars now in Lockhart, but no regulars in Gonzales. There are several that don't come to the regular times that I am helping them with their genealogy. I have about 5 families I'm working on currently and a couple of families I'm "done with" for now. I don't have time to write books!
A new missionary couple is moving into our apartment as soon as we leave. They will be helping with the Lockhart branch, as they don't speak Spanish. We are hoping to have them take over the family history up here in Lockhart. It is weird, and sad, to think that our mission is almost over. Less than 2 months left!
